July 14, 10:20 p.m., 600 block of Connecticut: A victim was robbed of her purse when a suspect walked up to her as she was getting something out of her car and threatened her with a possible gun. The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse off her shoulder, and ran into the nearby housing projects. The victim wasn’t injured during the incident. The officers didn’t locate the suspect or the victim’s property.
July 14, 5:20 a.m., 1000 block of Connecticut: A victim was robbed of his cell phone, money and wallet by two suspects who pointed a rifle at him. The victim told officers that he was walking in the area when two suspects approached and took his items. The suspects told the victim to wait in an alcove for two minutes before leaving. The victim ran to his house after he saw that the suspects had left. The victim was not injured during the incident.
July 11, 12:21 a.m., Aggravated Assault with a Gun, 100 block of Dakota Street: Officers Alvarenga and Doherty responded to a report of shots fired. The officers located the victim, who’d been shot and was bleeding from the leg. The officers applied pressure to the wound, and called for an ambulance. Meanwhile, the victim told the officers that he was standing on the stairs of his house when he heard multiple gun shots. He fell to the ground after hearing the shots, and realized he’d been wounded. The medic arrived and transported the victim to the hospital. Inspectors from the general work detail took over the investigation. The victim was reported to be in stable condition.
July 10, 6 a.m., Malicious Mischief, Adult Suspect, 2000 block of San Bruno Avenue: Officer Wise responded to San Bruno Avenue regarding a fight. Wise spoke with a victim, who stated that the suspect, who was in the victim’s apartment with her, had cut up all of her jeans, due to the victim owing the suspect $10. The victim told Wise that she and the suspect had been in the apartment smoking crack for the last three days, and had gotten into an argument when the crack ran out. The victim was not injured during the fight. Based on the officer’s investigation, the suspect was cited for cutting up the victim’s jeans.
July 9, 7:25 p.m., Aggravated Assault with a Gun, 800 block of Kansas: Officers Borgen and Dongon responded to a call regarding a gun shot victim. The officers arrived on scene and discovered two gun shot victims. The San Francisco Fire Department responded immediately and provided medical help to the two victims. Both victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. Gang Task Force members took over the investigation.
July 9, 2 p.m., Homicide with a Gun, 100 block of Dakota Street: Officers responded to a call regarding a car that had crashed into a building. The officers found the driver of the vehicle had been shot numerous times, was bleeding and unresponsive. A medic was called to respond to the scene. The victim was immediately transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injures. The officers established a crime scene, and members of the Gang Task Force and Homicide Detail took over the investigation.
July 7, 2:20 p.m., Burglary, Forcible Entry, Conspiracy, Stolen Property, 500 Vermont Street: Bayview plainclothes team members responded to the area of Vermont Street regarding a burglary that had just occurred. The officers spoke to the victim, who stated that two unknown suspects were seen leaving his residence with his backpacks and another bag. The officers canvassed the area, and located the suspects and the stolen items. The officers placed the suspects into custody, at which time the victim positively identified them as the persons who took his belongings. The officers determined that the point of entry was a window in the upper living room. No one was injured during the burglary. A burglary inspector was notified of the incident and took over the investigation.
July 1, 5:27 p.m., Theft from a Person, 2400 block of San Bruno: Bayview’s plainclothes team members were conducting a decoy operation in the area of San Bruno Avenue, which has been the scene of numerous robberies and thefts. A suspect was taken into custody for taking money out of the shirt pocket of a victim, who was standing on the street. The victim was not injured during the robbery. The suspect was transported to Bayview Station for booking.
