February 2010Arts & EntertainmentFebruary 4 to 18 Music and Film: San Francisco Indie Fest Potrero’s own Thee Parkside and Bottom of the Hill will be the two main venues for this year’s Winter Music Fest. The Fest, which runs through February 4th, showcases several bands, including Bhi Bhiman, Duckmandu, Kuma/Koshka, and Damn Handsome and the Birthday Suits. The entertainment baton will then be passed to the 12th Annual Independent Film Festival, which will take place in various theatres, including Roxi Cinemas. Various show times and ticket prices. February 27 Music: Blues, Beer and BBQ at the Nabe The Potrero Hill Neighborhood House’s annual BB&B Celebration will feature legendary Bobby “Spider” Webb and the Smooth Blues Band. A native San Franciscan, Webb is renowned for his saxophone playing and has toured with many jazz greats, as well as his own group, the Smooth Blues Band, for more than 45 years. 4 to 9 p.m. Tickets: $25, includes BBQ dinner.
