eReader and Tech Help: Librarians will answer questions about downloading eBooks and your library’s free digital collections! Wednesday, December 16, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Indie Movie Night: Mr. Holmes: Join us for a night of independent cinema featuring Mr. Holmes. Ian McKellen stars. Tuesday, December 29, 6 to 8 p.m.

Programs for Teens

Game On!: Play video games on our big screen in the Potrero meeting room! Ages eight to 18 welcome. Tuesdays, 4 to 6 p.m.

Knit 101 with GoGo Craft: Always wanted to knit or need a refresher? This fun class is designed for absolute beginners. Call 415.355.2822 to sign up. Wednesday, December 2, 6 to 8 p.m.

Programs for Children

Saturday Snacktivity: With food provided by Whole Foods Market Potrero Hill, we’ll offer a wholesome snack followed by a fun activity. All ages welcome. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. PLEASE NOTE there’ll be no Snacktivity on Saturday, December 26th.

Baby Rhyme and Play Time: Songs and rhymes for infants up to 18 months old and their caregiver(s). Tuesdays, 1:15 p.m.

Family Story time: Featuring stories, songs and rhymes. For children from birth to five years old and their caregiver(s). Thursdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m. and 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. PLEASE NOTE there ‘ll  be no storytimes on Thursday, December 24th.

Decorate Holiday Cookies!: Decorate plain sugar cookies with icing, sprinkles, and more! Bring a container so you can take your cookies home.  Parents are welcome to join in! Saturday, December 5, 2 to 3:30 p.m. 

Sensory Movie Night: Frozen: Join us for a presentation of Disney’s Frozen, a story of two sisters based on Hans Christian Andersen’s 1854 tale The Snow Queen. Sensory friendly films offer an accepting and understanding environment for individuals with autism, sensory processing differences, or other special needs and their families to enjoy the moviegoing experience. The room will be brighter, the volume will be lower, and audience members will be welcome to move around, talk, and sing. Everyone is welcome. Holiday Ornament Decorating:  Celebrate the winter holidays by making and decorating your own ornaments and holiday cards. All materials provided, open to children of all ages; under five will need adult assistance. Friday, December 11, 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Solar Solutions for Climate Change with Eco-Center: Discover how the sun can help us with the climate change challenge in San Francisco! Explore the ways solar power and community microgrids can help us return balance to the environment. Best for children four and older. More information at http://www.ecocenterhhp.org/. Movie and Meal Day: In partnership with the Potrero Hill Family Support Center (PHFSC), we’ll present a family-friendly film, and PHFSC will provide a meal. Our selection for December is Cool Runnings. Rated PG. 98 minutes. Friday, December 18, 3 to 5 p.m.
