10/15/16 – Home Safety Education

The San Francisco Fire Department are teaming up with First Alert to advocate “For a Safer Place” by inviting community members to participate in a special safety education event on October 15 at the Lowe’s of San Francisco. The focus of the event will be on educating attendees about how to protect their families and homes from the threats of fire and carbon monoxide (CO). Kids’ firefighter hats and activity worksheets will be provided, along with educational handouts for adults, to teach families about the importance of equipping their homes with smoke and CO alarms, as well as planning and practicing a fire escape plan.
