I enjoyed reading Steven Moss’ column in the June issue (“Jews”). A lot of history was covered in that one column. I hope people were listening.
The View is a tremendous source of information and news, not only for the neighborhood but for the City. Real local news coverage of San Francisco is lacking in the two mainstream papers. Both The Chronicle and The Examiner are mere outlines of their former newsworthy glory. And what’s very painful about both those papers is that they often miss out on the real heartbeat and pulse of the City.
Papers like the View capture the City and really provide what’s missing. I hope the View continues to flourish, even in this very uneasy economy. The City needs more publications like the View.
I also enjoyed the “One Block” pages; a really neat way to feature segments of the neighborhood and highlight a neighborhood’s history.
In this age of digital news and information, it’s comforting to know there are local publications still out there, like The Potrero View, providing news and giving people a voice. Thanks for the time and effort to provide the neighborhood and the City with The Potrero View.
