Programs for Adults

Digital Drop In:  Have questions about how to download eBooks to your device or how to use the library’s databases to read magazines, research genealogy, and more? Get one on one time with a librarian to explore your library’s free digital collection. Wednesdays, April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

April is Bike Month – Bicycle Movie: Potrero branch is celebrating the BICYCLE this month, and will show Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. Come watch this cult classic on our big screen. Sunday, April 12, 2 to 4 p.m.

Programs for TEENS

Bicycle Tire Craft with GoGoCraft: Learn how to re-purpose old bicycle inner tubes into a wristband, wallet, or pencil holder. Inner tubes provided or bring your own. Ages 10 and up. Limit 15. Call 415.355.2822 to sign up. Thursday, April 30 5.30 to 7.30 p.m.

Game On!: Come play PS3 and Wii games on our big screen in the Potrero meeting room. Ages eight to 18 welcome. Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21, and 28, 4 to 6 p.m.

Programs for CHILDREN

Saturday Snacktivity:  With food provided by Whole Foods Market Potrero Hill, we’ll offer a wholesome snack followed by a fun activity. All ages welcome. Saturdays, April 4, 11, 18, and 25, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Baby Rhyme and Play Time: Songs and rhymes for infants up to 18 months old and their caregiver(s).  Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21, and 28, 1:15 p.m


Family Story time:
Featuring stories, songs and rhymes. For children from birth to five years old and their caregiver(s). Thursdays, April  2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 10:30 to 11 a.m. and 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.   

Fun Flicks: Join us for a selection of short films for children. Titles selected for April include Banjo Frogs, Duck on a Bike, Big Brown Bear Goes to Town, Come on Rain!, and Dinosaur Bones.  For children three to eight. Bring a snack and enjoy the show! Wednesday April 8, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

Movie and Meal Day: We’ll present 101 Dalmations and the Potrero Hill Family Support Center will provide a meal. Friday, April 17, 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Bay Area Bike Mobile: Hey kids!  Does your bike need a tune up?  The Bay Area Bike Mobile will be in front of the Potrero Branch in the afternoon!  Got a flat tire?  Need a new brake cable?  Need other adjustments?  Come on by and get your wheels in shape for summer! Friday, April 17, 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Big San Francisco Playdat: For ages five and younger.  Ready, set, let’s play!  Come explore our tactile tunnel, play with our sticky table, create with glitter play dough, and more. Sunday, April 26, 2 to 4 p.m.
