Adults and teenagers will get a canvas tote bag after finishing 15 hours of reading. Kids will receive their prize after 10 hours. Earthquake Country: Expert advice on preparing for the next one: Matt Springer, Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Francisco, will talk about precautions that can be taken to lessen the damage from an earthquake at home and work. This presentation includes photographs of preparations in Springer’s own home and suggested measures to prepare for the next temblor. Sunday, August 16, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
