This workshop will help you understand your options and connect to programs that meet your family’s needs. Chair Yoga with Bonnie Scott: Come enjoy an energizing chair yoga class! Practiced in and supported by a chair, learn yoga poses and breathing techniques to create strength, flexibility and balance. No yoga experience necessary! Suitable for beginners, seniors and anyone else who wants a slower-paced exercise program. Learn how to release tension, energize your body and calm your mind. Literate Goat Book Club: Join us for a lively discussion of Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Focusing on literary fiction, our book club meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6 pm. All are welcome.

Book-A-Librarian: Librarians will answer your questions about downloading eBooks and any other questions about our free digital collection. Wednesday, November 18, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

PROGRAMS FOR TEENS

Game On!: Come play video games on our big screen in the Potrero meeting room! Ages eight to 18 welcome. Tuesdays, 4 to 6 p.m.

Necktie DIY: No sewing is required to refashion a necktie into a practical and beautiful pouch for your phone, cards, notes, whatever! All materials provided. Sunday, November 8, 2 to 3 p.m.

PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN

Saturday Snacktivity: With food provided by Whole Foods Market Potrero Hill, we’ll offer a wholesome snack followed by a fun activity. All ages welcome. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Baby Rhyme and Play Time: Songs and rhymes for infants up to 18 months old and their caregiver(s). Tuesdays, 1:15 p.m.

Family Story time: Featuring stories, songs and rhymes. For children from birth to five years old and their caregiver(s). Thursdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m. and 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.

Pajama Story time: Bring the whole family to this fun-filled storytime hootenanny! Enjoy listening to stories, singing, moving, and shaking it up! Wiggling encouraged. Kids, wear your PJ’s if you want to. Wednesday, November 4, 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Crafty Saturday and Play: Turkeys, leaves, pumpkins, the harvest…celebrate fall and make a fun STEM craft at the library. All materials provided.
An area will also be set up for play with the library’s KODO KIDS towers and ramps for children to explore engineering and science when done with the craft. Saturday, November 7, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Imaginuity Lego Engineering Fundamentals: Build a motorized car. IMAGINUITY celebrates your inner engineer with free science programming for youth at every SFPL library in the month of November. Saturday, November 14, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Movie and Meal Day: In partnership with the Potrero Hill Family Support Center (PHFSC), we’ll present a family-friendly film, and PHFSC will provide a meal. Our selection for November is March of the Penguins. Rated G. 85 minutes.

Pee Wee Science at Saturday Snacktivity!: Bring your young scientist to the library! Potrero Branch presents a special science – themed Snacktivity for the five and under crowd. Saturday, November 21, 11 to 12 p.m.
